How to do it
- Hold the bell by the horns at your chest, elbows tucked.
- Feet shoulder-width, toes slightly out.
- Sit down between your knees, chest tall against the bell's pull.
- Drive your knees out — elbows can brush inside them at the bottom.
- Push the floor away to stand; slow down, strong up.
Common mistakes
- Knees caving in. Inward-collapsing knees under load stress the joint and leak power out of the glutes.
- Cutting depth. The goblet squat is built for full range — stopping high wastes its best feature.
- Free-falling the descent. Dropping fast makes the bottom position harder to control and skips the eccentric work.
